A phlebotomoist needs to have good fine motor skills for drawing the blood, good organizational skills to keep samples straight, and the analytical skills to interpret lab results.
The main thing is being able to find an artery and draw blood without creating a wound. Once you can do that part it's mostly learning the techniques to classify blood by type and how to safely handle blood.
